Vibrience Music Notes

Before man had words to communicate he used sounds and movement!

Voice Movement Therapy is the process where you use sounds and movement to get to know yourself better and learn how to express yourself more clearly.

If you can talk you can sing…
If you can walk you can dance…

There is no wrong sound or movement in VMT unless you damage your voice or body! There’s so much inside you that wants to be free… VMT will give you the tools to set yourself free from your fears, memories or other obstacles holding you back.

"It is the limitation of our being which makes us sad and angry and constitutes our fear... if one wants to change character, it is not enough to talk about feelings: they must be experienced and expressed". (Fear of life, Alexander Lowen)

"Music is the language from the place before the word is born" (Paolo Knill)

Purpose of VMT: "To facilitate a more embodied and hence a more flexible versatile and durable voice with which to achieve greater expression and communication of the self – one’s wants, needs, desires and ideas – by accessing the affective feeling qualities of the voice more fully" (Anne Brownell)

"The most vibrant way of accessing and expressing the full self is through the act of singing" (Paul Newham)
